So, you've booked your family's portrait session but now you have no idea what everyone should wear! Ahh! 😱
Coordinating a family’s outfits can feel like a daunting task, but it doesn’t have to be complicated.
Coordinate, not matched
The best advice I can give is to resist the outdated notion that everyone must match. Your portraits will be more visually appealing if you coordinate your family's outfits instead.
Pick 2 or 3 colors to work with and focus on. Depending on how many people will be in the photos, either have everyone wear solid colors, or balance out the number of people wearing prints with the number of people wearing solids. That way, you’ll end up with outfits that look coordinated instead of outfits that clash.

Still can't decide where to start? When in Doubt, Wear Denim
You can’t go wrong with denim. The blue hue and texture of denim fabric never fails. For something edgy and chic, try a head to toe denim look like a denim jumpsuit. Or, for a classic look, pair your favorite pair of jeans with a colored top for an elegant, understated outfit.
